The company was formed in 1988 selling valves to the Scandinavian market. As from 1993, AVM International Ltd. AS started serious international trade. Due to a sharp focus on quality and a first-class range of valves for water and sewage, AVM rapidly gained an excellent reputation. AVM now enjoys a high market share in UK, France, Spain, Italy, Libya, Turkey, Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia and many other countries. We are able to list several major Water Utility/Sewage industry contractors in Europe as well as in Turkey and Middle East as satisfied clients. To date, AVM has made business in over 70 countries worldwide.
Since we now do the valve production of valves for water, sewage, irrigation, hydro-electric power plants etc. according to our own drawings and designs, we have moved the sales/marketing of our own products into a new company,
AVM Valves AS
AVM International Ltd. AS will continue serving our clients in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia etc. as before, supplying ductile iron pipes and fittings, steel pipes and fittings, penstocks, couplings, flange adaptors, dismantling joints, water meters etc. and more occasionally valves for water and sewage.
Strategy for AVM International Ltd. A/S – VALVES FOR THE OIL AND GAS SECTOR, and valves for desalination. Specialty valves for chemical industry etc.
We have acquired first-class agencies for API valves, and we are capable of offering a basically complete range (supplied as AVM brand or our suppliers’ brands – all valves subjected to AVM’s own QA control in the factories):

API 6A through conduit gate valves API 2000 – API 20000.

ASTM A 126 Gr. B cast iron. ASTM A 395 ductile iron. Carbon steel, low temperature steel, st. steel qualities, alloy steel qualities, Duplex, Super Duplex, Hastelloy B and C, 254 SMO, Alloy 20, nickel-aluminium-bronze, Monel, Titanium, Nickel etc.
Temperature range:
-196 degree C (cryogenic) to + 680 degree C. Special high temp. valves for steel plants available.
Other, existing range of AVM International Ltd. AS for water, sewage, irrigation and partly desalination:
JASH Engineering Ltd., India – one of the world’s leading producers of penstocks (sluice – and slide gates), and JASH has a 70% market share in the Indian market. From JASH we offer penstocks in cast iron, welded steel, st. steel or aluminium, FRP or st. steel with HDPE or UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyetylene) doors. All penstocks are tested hydraulically with water before being supplied.
AVM has delivered the largest cast iron penstocks made in the world to Kadiköy Waste Water Project, Istanbul, Turkey (size 3200 x 4500 mm door opening). AVM has exclusivity for most of Europe, Turkey and several other countries in North Africa and Middle East. Besides penstocks, we can also offer flap valves and knife gate valves from JASH.
Pipe work and fittings:
AVM supplies ductile iron pipes and fittings per ISO/EN/BS standards as well as flanged ductile iron pipe work. AVM represents first-class, ISO-normed and competitive Chinese producers for the full range of products from DN 80 up to and incl. DN 2600, the largest range available on the world market. We have a wide range of international references gained from handling projects for European, Turkish and Middle East contractors. Annual capacity for our factories
totals about 150.000 tons, enabling us to serve our clients with first-class products and reasonable delivery times.
AVM also supplies steel pipes and fittings, and have agreements with among others PSL Ltd., India (India’s largest steel pipe mill with 7 plants) and 11. Oktomvri, Macedonia. We do a wide range of dismantling joints, flex. couplings and flange adaptors, pipe saddles etc. from various suppliers.
Other than the products mentioned above, we can also supply different other pipe materials, such as uPVC, HDPE, GRP etc. various kinds of valves and water meters etc. to put together complete packages for our clients. We do have one of Europe’s main pump producers as a major client using AVM’s valves, ductile iron and steel pipe work and fittings for pumping stations.

COMPANY PROFILE AVM Valves AS
Company activities: Sales, design, development and production of our own, wide range of quality valves for water works purpose, sewage, irrigation, hydro-electric power plants and partly industry (rubberlined butterfly valves, strainers etc.).
The marketing was earlier done through AVM International Ltd. A/S, but we wanted to continue the sales of our own valves through a separate company responsible for the production, design, QA etc. (see separate Company Profile for AVM International Ltd. A/S). We have a separate division in Izmir, Turkey doing our design drawings and this division is also acting as our after sales service office. We can also offer to fit electric or pneumatic actuators in our workshop in Izmir, or at the sites, do valve testing etc.
We are selling our valves among others through distributors and agents in UK, France, Spain, Italy, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Turkey, Russia, Middle East countries, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong etc., and via contractors, water treatment companies, pump manufacturers, suppliers of turnkey projects for hydro-electric power plants, etc. in Europe, Turkey, Middle East, South Africa etc. for final destinations to many countries worldwide.
Even several well-known, reputable valve producers in Europe and Middle East are purchasing AVM’s valves and putting their own brand marks on our valves and reselling same, as we have gained a wide reputation for a high quality. This is done by our valve producer clients among others in UK, Spain, Italy and Middle East.
